March is Colon Cancer Awareness Month

Encourage your loved ones and employees to get screened. If you or somebody you care about hasn't been screened by age 45, it's time to schedule a preventive colonoscopy screening or ask a medical provider about the Cologuard screening kit.

Colon cancer is the 2nd leading cause of death among men & women. 60% of deaths can be prevented. 1 in 20 people in their lifetime will be diagnosed. 1 in 3 people are not up-to-date with screening.

Remember to:

  • Eat healthy

  • Stop smoking

  • Add calcium and Vitamin D to your diet

  • Get regular exercise

  • Limit or eliminate alcohol intake

Early detection is the best prevention.
